What a way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Scouting in America!

With more than a 100 people in attendance, Pack 618's 2010 Blue & Gold dinner was a terrific event. Hosted by the Golden Dragon den, no person left hungry as there was plenty of pizza, salad, cake, and drinks for everyone. Eagle Scout (and Poway mayor) Don Higgenson addressed the pack after dinner and proclaimed February 25th, 2010 as "Pack 618 Day" in Poway - what an honor!

This year's Pinewood Derby will be on March 21, from 2-5pm in the Painted Rock MPR. Kits and rule sheets were distributed to den leaders at January's pack meeting. Please contact your den leader if you have not received your kit.

Pack 618 has never seen a more squared-away group of cub scouts! Thanks to Cpl. Ruiz and Cpl. Busby and Ms Johanna Jones for helping us organize the uniform inspection.

There was more than a few "cool", "wow", and "neat" exclamations from the boys (and parents) as our tour guides, Jim Grant and LCpl. Muir, explained the workings and daily operations that are required to keep our F-18s flying.

A warm round of congratulations goes out to members of the Golden Eagles Webelos den who recently earned their Webelos rank patch.
